David L. Keenan, M.D. joined Reproductive Biology Associates in 1996. He is Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of numerous medical societies, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.
Dr. Keenan's interest in reproductive endocrinology and infertility began during his college education when his courses included the study of the pituitary gland's control of reproductive function. His interest in this field grew during his later training in medical school and residency when he had the opportunity to pursue research relating to infertility and in vitro fertilization. His previous publications have examined the diagnosis and treatment of defects of the uterus and the use of GnRh analogs during ovarian stimulation for in vitro fertilization.
Dr. Keenan is a native of Albany, Georgia. He received his undergraduate training at Emory College and his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Emory University affiliated hospitals in 1989. Dr. Keenan completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1991.
Prior to joining Reproductive Biology Associates, Dr. Keenan was an assistant professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Emory University School of Medicine. His major areas of interest include the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, reconstructive surgery, abnormalities of the uterus, recurrent miscarriage, in vitro fertilization, ovulatory disorders and genetic studies in conjunction with in vitro fertilization.
Dr. Keenan and his wife have four children. He enjoys tennis, swimming, hunting, and coaching various youth league teams in his spare time. Dr. Keenan sees patients in both the Marietta and Main Office in Dunwoody.
